DESCRIPTION:Campus Bird Walk at Gurukul College Budal\, Udaipur				\n				\n				\n				\n							\n							\n											\n													\n										Udaipur\n									\n								\n											\n													\n										13 April\, 2026\n									\n								\n											\n													\n										\n									\n						\n						\n				\n					\n				\n		\n					\n		\n				\n				\n					Highlights from the Event				\n				\n				\n				\n									A campus bird walk at Gurukul College Budal\, led by Bhuvnesh Kumar\, highlighted the rich birdlife supported by the semi-arid campus landscape and surrounding open habitats. Participants observed a dynamic mix of species\, from soaring raptors like Shikra\, Brahminy Kite\, and Black-winged Kite to ground-dwellers such as Grey Francolin\, Jungle Bush-Quail\, and Yellow-wattled Lapwing. The presence of Common Kingfisher and Yellow-footed Green-Pigeon reflected the habitat diversity\, while Indian Roller and Eurasian Hoopoe added striking visual moments.								\n				\n				\n		\n				\n				\n					Partnered with				\n				\n				\n				\n																														\n				\n				\n				\n				\n									The campus scrub and tree cover were alive with activity\, featuring flocks of House Sparrows\, Rock Pigeons\, doves\, and mynas alongside vocal species like Oriental Magpie-Robin and Common Iora. Babblers\, prinias\, and Lesser Whitethroat kept the undergrowth busy\, while insectivores such as Asian Green Bee-eater\, Long-tailed Shrike\, and White-browed Fantail were actively foraging. Colorful additions like Small Minivet\, Brahminy Starling\, and Purple Sunbird enhanced the experience\, with a Savanna Nightjar as a notable sighting.
